DC Budgam reviews status of Panchayat Electoral Roll Revision

BUDGAM, MARCH 14: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the status of Panchayat Electoral Roll Revision in the district.

During the meeting, the DC, as per an official statement, took a detailed review of the progress regarding printing and distribution of Electoral Rolls (E-Rolls) across various blocks and subdivisions of the district.

The DC emphasized the importance of timely printing and proper distribution of E-Rolls and directed the concerned officers to ensure that the process is completed within the stipulated timelines.

He further stressed on maintaining accuracy and reliability of electoral data, instructing officials to carry out thorough verification so that the electoral rolls remain error-free and updated in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

The DC also called for close synergy among all election officials at district, subdivision and block levels to ensure smooth and efficient management of the Panchayat electoral roll revision process.

The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam, Mehraj-Ud-Din Shah; ACR, ACD, ACP, SDMs, all Block Development Officers (BDOs), and other concerned officials of the district.
