Srinagar, Mar 31: The Tulip Garden in Srinagar has recorded a footfall of 1,77,869 visitors in the first 15 days, with officials saying the final count is likely to be higher as online ticketing data has not been included.

Assistant Floriculture Officer In-charge Tulip Garden Srinagar, Imran Ahmad said that the current figures are based on available offline ticket records.

“The footfall in the first 15 days is 1,77,869. This does not include online ticketing data, which will be compiled after the garden closes,” he said.

Ahmad said the visitors include locals, domestic tourists and foreign tourists among them, though their separate count was not available this time.

Officials said the garden is witnessing a steady rise in visitors and expect a further surge in the coming days as the bloom reaches its peak.

Situated at the foothills of the Zabarwan range overlooking Dal Lake, Asia’s largest Tulip Garden, this year features around 70–75 varieties of tulips and remains a major highlight of Jammu and Kashmir’s spring tourism season—(KNO)
