Floriculture Dept organize Therapeutic visit of patients to Tulip Garden

Srinagar, Apr 06: Directorate of Floriculture, Kashmir, in collaboration with the Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, organized a therapeutic visit for patients from associated hospitals to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden Srinagar aimed to promote mental well-being, foster social interaction, and provide a rejuvenating experience in a serene natural environment.

 

The visit organised on the initiative of  Director Floriculture Kashmir, and involved coordinated efforts from GMC Srinagar and its associated hospitals. The event focused on patient safety, structured movement, and supervised participation, with medical teams providing on-site supervision and emergency support.

 

The visit was jointly coordinated by Dr. Shiny Mohiudin and Dr. Adil Fayaz (IMHANS), Kashmir and Altaf Ahmad, Assistant Floriculture Officer, who personally accompanied the group to ensure a comfortable and engaging experience.

 

The programme incorporated key technical components, including pre-visit health screening, deployment of medical teams, and preparedness for emergency medical support.

 

The initiative reflects the Directorate of Floriculture’s public friendly approach to open its gardens, parks and other such assets to all walks of life and to provide such section of society an opportunity to have the beauty of valley explored who otherwise are unable to visit such places due to various reasons including health issues.

 

The initiative reflects GMC Srinagar’s   commitment to holistic healthcare, integrating clinical treatment with psychosocial rehabilitation through meaningful outdoor activities.
