Inaugurates CFC, inspects sports stadium at Mankote

MENDHAR, APRIL 18: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, on Saturday inaugurated a Community Facilitation Centre (CFC) at Mankote and inspected the under-construction Sports Stadium during a public outreach visit to the area.

The CFC, constructed by the Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs. 17 lakh, is aimed at strengthening the grassroots governance and service delivery by bringing multiple public services and community activities under one roof.

“The present administration is making all endeavours to extend necessary services to the people at their door steps and setting up of CFCs in the remote areas is a part of these initiatives,” Javed Rana said while addressing the locals after inaugurating the CFC.

The Minister, as per an official statement, also inspected the ongoing construction of the Sports Stadium at Mankote, being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 58 lakh. He directed the executing agencies to ensure timely completion with strict adherence to the set quality standards.

During the visit, several delegations and individuals called on the Minister and projected various development related issues.

A delegation of students from wGovernment Degree College Mendhar submitted a memorandum highlighting the concerns regarding the need for a girls’ hostel and a multi-purpose hall.

The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegations and assured them that their genuine demands would be examined on priority for appropriate action.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive development, the Minister said that strengthening infrastructure and addressing the public grievances remain key priorities to ensure improved facilities and opportunities for the people of the region.
