SRINAGAR, MAY 05: Department of Social Welfare Srinagar, through its SANKALP – Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW), organized a facilitation camp at Ganderpora, Srinagar Tuesday.

The initiative aimed to extend welfare services and create awareness among the local population about various government schemes.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, with officials from SANKALP-HEW Srinagar providing on-the-spot assistance and guidance on a wide range of social welfare schemes. Beneficiaries were informed about eligibility criteria, required documentation, and application procedures for pensions, scholarships, financial aid, and other social security initiatives and nearly 50 beneficiaries were onspot linked to various schemes.

A special emphasis was placed on reaching marginalized and vulnerable sections of society, ensuring that no eligible individual is left out of the government’s welfare framework. Officials also actively addressed public queries and grievances, facilitating immediate solutions wherever possible.

Speaking on the occasion, officials from SANKALP-HEW Srinagar highlighted the importance of such outreach programs in bridging the gap between the administration and the public. They reiterated the department’s commitment to inclusive development and ensuring easy access to welfare services for all.

The camp concluded on a positive note, receiving appreciation from the local community, who welcomed the initiative and expressed the need for more such programs in the future.
