SRINAGAR, MAY 08: Director, Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Mohammad Younis Malik, chaired his maiden comprehensive review meeting at the Sempora campus of the institute to assess the progress of various entrepreneurship and youth engagement initiatives being implemented across the Union Territory.
The meeting, as per an official statement, witnessed participation of all District Nodal Officers (DNOs) Range Officers (ROs) and In-charge officers of various sections of JKEDI, who joined both physically and through virtual mode from different districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
During the review, detailed deliberations were held on the implementation and progress achieved under key government initiatives, including the RAMP Scheme, Mission YUVA, and various self-employment programmes. The meeting also reviewed the status of loan repayments and recoveries under different employment generation schemes, besides discussing other operational and institutional matters.
Addressing the officers, the Director emphasized the need to intensify efforts towards achieving JKEDI’s core objective of empowering youth through entrepreneurship and self-employment. He called upon the District Nodal Officers to further strengthen grassroots outreach and ensure greater mobilisation of aspiring entrepreneurs from all regions of the Union Territory in order to foster a vibrant and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
An extensive action plan for the financial year 2026–27 was also discussed during the meeting, with inputs sought from all program verticals of the institute for effective implementation in the upcoming quarters.
Highlighting the importance of institutional synergy and collective responsibility, the Director stressed that teamwork, accountability, transparency and result-oriented functioning would remain central to JKEDI’s mission of guiding and mentoring youth towards sustainable entrepreneurial success.
He urged all officers and employees to work in close coordination to achieve the institute’s vision of creating a self-reliant and enterprising youth population in Jammu & Kashmir.
