MP Jugal Kishore chairs DISHA Meeting in Samba

Samba, May 14: Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma on Thursday chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at the Conference Hall of District Administrative Complex, Nandani Hills, Samba to review the progress of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) being implemented in the district.

 

The meeting was attended by MLA Samba Surjeet Singh Slathia; MLA Ramgarh Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal; MLA Vijaypur Chander Parkash Ganga; District Development Commissioner Ayushi Sudan; Additional Deputy Commissioner, nominated members of the DISHA Committee, besides district and sectoral officers of various departments.

 

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation, highlighting the achievements and progress recorded under different Centrally Sponsored Schemes, besides updating the chair about the status of the iconic developmental projects being executed by different departments and agencies in the district.

 

The DDC also presented comprehensive details regarding the implementation of different schemes and responded to the observations and queries raised by the Members during the meeting.

 

Detailed discussions were given on Rural Development Schemes and IWMP, Urban Development Schemes, Road Projects, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, Power Development Schemes, Social Security Schemes, PM-KISAN, Financial Inclusion Schemes and other flagship programmes being implemented in the district.

 

The Deputy Commissioner apprised the chair that a number of works taken up under different Centrally Sponsored Schemes have already been completed, while several others are at different stages of execution.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Member Parliament stressed upon the officers to work with dedication, sincerity and coordination to ensure timely achievement of targets during the current financial year. He appreciated the efforts of the district administration in implementing various welfare and developmental schemes in the district.

 

The Members of the Legislative Assembly also projected various public issues and developmental demands pertaining to their respective constituencies, which were noted by the concerned departments for appropriate consideration and necessary action.

 

The MP expressed satisfaction over the overall progress achieved by the district administration under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and emphasized the need for continued focus on effective implementation for the benefit of the people.
