SRINAGAR, MAY 19: Under the aegis of the Directorate of AYUSH, J&K, District AYUSH Srinagar Tuesday organized an awareness programme under the 100-day-long Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) at Royal House Academy, Patli-Pora Bala, Chattabal, Srinagar.
The programme, as per an official statement, was conducted in compliance with the directions of District Ayush Officer Srinagar, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Payer.
During the programme, an awareness lecture on drug abuse and preventive measures was delivered by Mohammad Younis, Yoga Instructor and De-Addiction Expert, along with Shahida Fayaz, Yoga Instructor and De-Addiction Expert from the Directorate of AYUSH, District Srinagar.
The speakers highlighted the harmful effects of drug addiction on individuals and society and stressed the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. They also emphasized the role of yoga, meditation and holistic wellness practices in preventing substance abuse and promoting mental and physical well-being among students and youth.
The programme witnessed active participation and support from the school administration, including Chairman Shafat Ahmad, Principal Waseem Mushtaq, Incharge Supervisor Hussain Mujtaba and Sabreena Ayoub.
Students and staff members actively participated in the session and appreciated the initiative aimed at spreading awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse and encouraging a drug-free society.
