BUDGAM, JUNE 02: As part of the calendar of activities, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Budgam conducted an inspection visit to the Legal Aid Clinic at Soibugh Daharmunah, Budgam.
The inspection, as per an official statement, was carried out under the supervision of O.P. Bhagat, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Budgam.
The primary objective of the visit was to assess the functioning of the Legal Aid Clinic, evaluate the accessibility of legal aid services to the public, and review the availability of infrastructure and furniture at the clinic.
During the inspection, the Secretary interacted with the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) posted at the clinic and inquired about the number of aid seekers visiting the centre, the nature of grievances brought before them, and the assistance and remedies being provided. She also reviewed the infrastructure and facilities available at the clinic for the effective discharge of duties.
The Secretary emphasized the crucial role of PLVs in ensuring access to justice and advised them to continue discharging their responsibilities with dedication and commitment for the welfare of the general public and legal aid seekers in particular.
Upon reviewing the overall functioning of the Legal Aid Clinic, the Secretary expressed satisfaction with its performance and appreciated the efforts of the PLVs in providing legal assistance and awareness to the community.
