SRINAGAR, JUNE 08: As part of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, the Cultural Unit Kashmir of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Monday organised an impactful short play at Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), Zainakote, Srinagar, to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Through an engaging performance, the artists highlighted the devastating consequences of substance abuse on individuals, families and society. The play also focused on the measures being taken by the administration to curb the menace of drug addiction and promote a drug-free society.

The programme, as per an official statement, was attended by the students, who actively engaged with the awareness message conveyed through the performance.

The Principal and staff of the institution appreciated the DIPR for conducting such informative and awareness-oriented programmes among the youth. They emphasized the importance of sustained awareness campaigns in preventing drug abuse and encouraging healthy lifestyles among students.

The event forms part of the department’s continued efforts to support the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan through cultural and educational outreach initiatives across Kashmir.
