Kangan, June 19: In a major boost to sports infrastructure in Kangan constituency, MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali has secured the sanction of an Indoor Sports Stadium at Arigoripora at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore.

In a significant push for indoor athletics, MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali has secured the sanction a Rs 5 crore indoor sports stadium for Arigoripora.

The project is expected to provide modern sports facilities and create more opportunities for young athletes to participate in indoor games and other recreational activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mehar Ali expressed gratitude to the Youth Services and Sports Department and the Jammu and Kashmir Government for approving the project.

He said the stadium reflects his commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure and promoting youth development across the constituency.

The MLA said providing better facilities for young people remains one of his key priorities and assured that he would continue to pursue more developmental projects for Kangan.

The sanction has been widely welcomed by local residents and youth organisations, who hailed the initiative as a significant step towards promoting sports and nurturing talent in the area.

The Indoor Sports Stadium is expected to serve as a major hub for sports activities and youth engagement in the region—(KNO)
