VC LCMA reviews Dal Lake conservation works, inspects Muharram arrangements

Srinagar, Jun 20: Vice Chairman of J&K Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LCMA), Khurshid Ahmad Shah, JKAS, on Saturday toured the NPL Bund and several interior areas of Dal Lake to review ongoing conservation works and inspect the repair of culverts aimed at ensuring public convenience during Muharram.

He stressed sustained efforts to address local concerns and protect the ecological health of the lake.

According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Vice Chairman, J&K Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LCMA), Khurshid Ahmad Shah, JKAS, conducted an extensive tour of the NPL Bund and several interior mohallas of Dal Lake, including Guchi Mohalla, Tind Mohalla, Bhat Mohalla and adjoining areas.

During the visit, he reviewed the ongoing conservation and maintenance works being carried out in and around the lake. He also inspected the repair and restoration of various culverts to ensure smooth public movement and convenience during the ongoing Muharram observances.

“Mr. Shah stressed the need for sustained efforts to facilitate the public, address local concerns and preserve the ecological health of Dal Lake,” the spokesperson said. (KNO)
