DODA, JUNE 29: The Health Department Doda extended the Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme beyond conventional vaccination booths by organising a special session during the day-night matches of the ongoing 16th All India Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, Doda.
A health team, as per an official statement, from Medical Block Ghat, headed by Ajay Singh, carried out the vaccination. The team administered Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) to children aged zero to five years who attended the tournament with their families. Around 70 eligible children received Pulse Polio drops during the outreach.
The drive was supervised by Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor.
The Health Department appealed to parents to ensure every child aged below five receives the Pulse Polio vaccine.
