DC B’pora holds mega Block Diwas at Balhama

BANDIPORA, JULY 01: In a continued effort to strengthen public outreach and ensure responsive governance, the District Administration Bandipora Wednesday organised a Mega Block Diwas at Balhama Arin.

The programme, as per an official statement, was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib and  brought together senior officers from various government departments, including Revenue, Rural Development, Health, Education, Public Health Engineering, Power Development, Agriculture, and other line departments, providing residents with a common platform to directly interact with the administration.

A large number of people from Balhama and nearby villages participated in the programme and raised issues concerning road connectivity, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare facilities, education, and other issues pertaining to welfare of the general  public.

The Deputy Commissioner  gave a patient hearing to every representation and directed the concerned officers to resolve genuine grievances in a time-bound manner.

She stressed the need for greater coordination among departments to ensure timely completion of projects and improved delivery of essential services. She reiterated that public welfare, transparent and accountable governance remain the administration’s top priorities.

Indu Kanwal chib, said District Administration is committed to address issues of general public promptly and  ensuring inclusive and sustainable development across the district.

Speaking on the occasion, former DDC Member and general public appreciated the efforts of District Administration for resolving the issues of public at their doorsteps.

Among others the programme was attended by ACD, ACP, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineers and District Officers of various Departments and other concerned.
