BARAMULLA, JULY 09: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Pranjal J. Hazarika, Thursday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) in the district.

The meeting, as per an official statement, reviewed the physical and financial progress achieved under the scheme, the status of beneficiary verification, the progress of PMAY 2.0, and the recovery of funds from beneficiaries who have failed to commence construction despite receiving the first installment under PMAY-U.

The ADDC directed the concerned officers to expedite the recovery process in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and ensure strict monitoring of such cases.

Reviewing the implementation of PMAY 2.0, the ADDC directed all concerned officers to complete and process all pending cases for sanction within one month. He emphasized timely verification of applications and close coordination among the concerned departments to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of the scheme without delay.

Tehsildars, Executive Officers of Municipal Councils and Municipal Committees, along with other concerned officers, attended the meeting and presented updates on the progress of PMAY-U and PMAY 2.0 in their respective jurisdictions.

The ADDC instructed all concerned officers to regularly monitor the implementation of the scheme, dispose of pending cases in a time-bound manner, and ensure the effective implementation of PMAY-U across all Urban Local Bodies in the district.
