Approves 267 beneficiary cases

GANDERBAL, JULY 13: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, Monday chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under Mission YUVA to review the progress of the flagship self-employment programme and consider beneficiary cases for approval.

At the outset, the DC, as per an official statement, reviewed the pace of sanctioning and disbursement of approved cases. He directed the concerned departments, financial institutions and implementing agencies to expedite the process so that aspiring entrepreneurs receive timely financial assistance to establish their ventures.

Stressing the need to improve the overall performance under the scheme, the DC called for enhanced coordination among all stakeholders to ensure faster processing of cases and timely achievement of programme targets. He also directed the concerned officers to strengthen output tracking and closely monitor the progress of units established under Mission YUVA to ensure that beneficiaries receive continuous handholding and their enterprises become sustainable.

Highlighting the importance of skill development and entrepreneurship, the DC instructed the concerned departments to organise capacity-building and orientation programmes without delay so that beneficiaries are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to successfully manage their enterprises.
