PM Gati Shakti training programme conducted in Shopian

SHOPIAN, JULY 17: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone Friday presided over a district-level training programme on PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan at the Mini-Secretariat, Shopian.

The programme, as per an official statement, was organised to enhance the capacity of district officers in leveraging PM Gati Shakti digital platform for integrated infrastructure planning and coordinated project implementation.

Addressing the participants, the ADDC highlighted the importance of PM Gati Shakti initiative in ensuring seamless planning, avoiding duplication of works and accelerating infrastructure development through convergence among departments. He stressed the need for timely updation of departmental data on the portal and directed officers to make optimum use of the platform for efficient planning, monitoring and execution of developmental projects.

The ADDC called for close collaboration among all departments to ensure the successful implementation of the PM Gati Shakti framework and facilitate sustainable, inclusive and well-planned development across the district.

Master trainers imparted detailed training to the participating officers and officials on the effective use of the PM Gati Shakti portal, including GIS-based planning, infrastructure mapping, data uploading, digital layers, and preparation of integrated development proposals. The sessions also covered the significance of accurate data entry  and the use of the portal for evidence-based decision-making.

Officers discussed district-specific infrastructure requirements, implementation challenges and measures required for improving the quality of information uploaded on the portal.

GM, DIC, Shurjeel Ali Naik; CPO, CEO, CMO, other officers and officials of various departments attended the training.
