Online registration opens for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admissions for Academic Session 2027–28

BARAMULLA, JULY 25: The online registration process for admission to Class VI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the academic session 2027–28 has commenced.

 Eligible students and their parents are advised to complete the registration process well before the last date to avoid any inconvenience.

Applications, as per an official statement, can be submitted online through the official websites www.navodaya.gov.in and https://cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs. The last date for submission of online applications is 31st July 2026.

Admission to Class VI will be conducted through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2027–28, which is scheduled to be held on 28th November 2026.

Students seeking admission must fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria, including the age requirement. Candidates born between 1st May 2015 and 31st July 2017 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to submit their applications well in advance and ensure that all required information and documents are uploaded correctly to avoid last-minute issues. Eligible students are urged to make the most of this opportunity to secure admission to one of the country’s premier residential school systems, renowned for providing quality education and holistic development.
