DODA, JULY 27: A free health check-up-cum-screening camp was organised under the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) initiative at villages Sharni and Panchayee in Medical Block Thathri, District Doda Monday.

Organised under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Thathri Dr Shakeel Ahmed Kichloo, the camp aimed to bring quality healthcare services to the doorsteps of the rural population, facilitate early detection of diseases and promote awareness of preventive healthcare.

A comprehensive range of services, including general health check-ups, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) screening, laboratory investigations and medical consultations, was provided to the people of the area. More than 140 patients availed the free services.

The medical team was led by Dr Mansoor Ganai and assisted by the local health staff along with the MMU team from the CMO Office, Doda.

The health team distributed free medicines and provided counselling on healthy lifestyle practices, disease prevention and the importance of regular health check-ups.

Local residents appreciated the Health Department for organising the camp and bringing essential services closer to the community, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
