Reasi, Jul 28: A teenager was killed after the tractor he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Tuesday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident took place near Chamaloo Marh in the Chassana area when the tractor, which was travelling from Chassana towards Sanglikote, skidded off the road and rolled nearly 150 feet down the hillside.
The driver was later identified as Mohammad Ashraf (17), a resident of Hamosan village in Chassana, who died on the spot, the official said.
He said the body was shifted to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Chassana, for post-mortem examination.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings. (KNO)
