Srinagar, Aug 01: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday reaffirmed the government’s support to families of J&K Police martyrs by handing over appointment letters on compassionate grounds. During ceremonies at Lok Bhavan, he addressed the families of two fallen officers, emphasizing appreciation and assistance.

First, the LG handed over an appointment letter to Absar Ashiq Qureshi, son of Martyr Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, who lost his life during the July 22, 2026 terror attack in Anantnag. Family members were present during the event, and the LG paid tribute to the brave officer, assuring all possible support. He had previously visited the family in Lalpora, Beerwah, Budgam, last week.

In a similar gesture, the LG handed over an appointment letter to Inshah Nazir, wife of Martyr Inspector Masroor Ali Wani, honoring his sacrifice and promising support from the administration.

The ceremonies highlight the government’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of police personnel and supporting their families in their times of need.
