POONCH, AUGUST 05: Sakhi – One Stop Centre for Women, in collaboration with D-HEW, TSWO Haveli, DCPU and ICDS Department organized an awareness camp at Khari Karmara Panchayat Ghar, Wednesday.
The camp focused on spreading awareness about Women-centric welfare and protection schemes, Child Sponsorship Scheme, Pension Schemes, legal rights of women & children, POCSO Act and support services under Mission Shakti.
Officials from OSC and other sub wings of the Social Welfare Department interacted with the locals, addressed queries and encouraged eligible persons to avail benefits of government schemes.
During the camp, participants were also updated about the objective and services provided by OSC Poonch, legal rights of women and children, POCSO Act, different forms of violence against women and children and support services available.
The awareness camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from locals who appreciated the initiative. Further, the refreshment was also distributed among the participants after the conclusion of the programme.
