Man killed, three injured due to electric shock

Ramban, Aug 06: A man was killed while three others sustained injuries after they suffered an electric shock in the Ramsoo area of Ramban district on Thursday.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the incident occurred in Ramsoo, where four persons received an electric shock due to a suspected short circuit.

He said all the injured were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal for treatment, where one of them succumbed to injuries, while the other three are undergoing treatment.

The injured have been identified as Yasir Ahmad (70), son of Farooq Ahmad; Ishfaq Ahmad (25), son of Khursheed Ahmad; and Mohammad Yousuf (35), son of Mohammad Haneef, all residents of Sarbagni.

Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained and police have taken up further investigation into the incident. KNO)
