DODA, AUGUST 07: The Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Chief Medical Office Friday organised free medical camps at the remote villages of Banjoi and Sorouna in Medical Block Ghat.
The camps were organised under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner and the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer.
Block Medical Officer coordinated the camp held with the objective of providing quality healthcare services at the doorsteps of people residing in far-flung areas. A total of 170 people availed the services at the camps.
The medical team, as per an official statement, provided a wide range of healthcare services, including general health check-ups, screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) & TB, haemoglobin (Hb) testing, dental screening, health counselling and free distribution of essential medicines.
The team also conducted health education and IEC activities to promote preventive healthcare practices and healthy lifestyle habits. Beneficiaries were sensitised to the JK Sehat App and provided hands-on guidance regarding the registration process to enable them to conveniently access digital healthcare services.
The medical team consisted of Dr. Nasir Hussain (MLHP), Dr. Tarif Younas (MLHP), Irshad Hussain (Dental Technician), besides the staff of the MMU Doda, who rendered their services during the camps.
