25-yr-old woman dies in overnight accident at Nishat

Srinagar, Aug 11: A young woman died while another person was injured after the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident near Kral Sangari in Nishat area of Srinagar during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred around 1:00 am when the vehicle bearing (No. JK01AR-0071) hit a road divider and overturned, leaving both occupants injured.

He said the duo was shifted to a hospital, where the woman succumbed to her injuries. She was identified as Tabiya Ayoob (25), a resident of Barbar Shah, Srinagar.

The body was subsequently handed over to the police and later to the family after completion of all necessary formalities.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further proceedings are underway. (KNO)
