DODA, AUGUST 12: The two-day district-level training programme for District/Charge Officers, Census Clerks and Technical Assistants on Population Enumeration (PE) under Phase-II of Census-2027 concluded Wednesday at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.

Resource Persons and Master Trainers from the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K conducted detailed technical sessions during the two-day programme. The participants were imparted training on various operational aspects of Population Enumeration, including creation of Enumeration Blocks, enumeration procedures, use of Census schedules, data recording, field protocols, supervisory mechanisms and other important aspects related to the Census exercise.

The training, as per an official statement, was held under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal, who is also the Principal Census Officer of the district.

The training programme was organised to equip the officers and officials with the requisite knowledge, technical know-how and operational skills for the smooth, coordinated and effective conduct of Population Enumeration under Phase-II of Census-2027, particularly in the snow-bound areas of the district.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the importance of thorough preparedness and a clear understanding of the prescribed guidelines, procedures and operational protocols for the Population Enumeration exercise.

The Deputy Commissioner also congratulated the Charge Census Officers and other officers and officials associated with Census operations for the successful completion of Phase-I of Census-2027 and urged them to maintain the same level of commitment and coordination during Phase-II.

The training programme concluded with an emphasis on coordinated field-level implementation, adherence to prescribed protocols and timely completion of Population Enumeration activities.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue and District Statistics & Evaluation Officer were also present during the training programme.
