Ganderbal, Aug 24: In view of the risks associated with bathing and swimming in Nallah Sindh and other water bodies, the District Administration Ganderbal has issued a public advisory urging people, particularly parents and guardians, to exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant.

The advisory calls upon parents and guardians to strictly prevent children from entering or bathing in Nallah Sindh and other water bodies and to keep them under close supervision, especially during holidays and leisure hours.

The administration has further advised parents to educate children about the dangers posed by deep, fast-flowing and unpredictable water bodies and discourage them from swimming or bathing at unprotected and unsafe locations.

Children should not go near water bodies without responsible adult supervision, it stressed.

The advisory was issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, on August 24, 2026, amid safety concerns associated with water bodies across the district—(KNO)
