Bandipora clinches U-14 Girls Kabaddi title

BANDIPORA, AUGUST 25: The Inter-District Provincial-Level U-14 Girls Kabaddi Competition, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Bandipora, concluded on Tuesday at Higher Secondary School Nadihal, with District Bandipora emerging as the winner and District Anantnag securing the runner-up position.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from young athletes representing different districts, providing them a platform to showcase their sporting talent, teamwork, discipline and competitive spirit.

In the keenly contested final, District Bandipora displayed an impressive performance to secure the championship title, while District Anantnag finished as the runner-up.

The concluding ceremony was attended by District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Bandipora, Ab Majeed Rather besides officials and field staff of the department were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, DYSSO Bandipora congratulated the winning team for their commendable performance and also lauded District Anantnag for putting up a strong fight to finish as runners-up. He encouraged all participating teams, particularly those who could not make it to the final, to remain focused, continue training with dedication and treat the experience gained from the championship as a stepping stone towards greater achievements. He emphasised that every match played, every challenge faced and every effort made on the field contributes to the growth and development of a young sportsperson.

While speaking on the occasion, the DYSSO Bandipora also expressed gratitude to the District Administration, District Information Officer Bandipora, Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Principal HSS Nadihal, besides officials, field staff and other supporting staff for their valuable cooperation and contribution towards the smooth and successful conduct of the championship.

The Department of Youth Services and Sports congratulated the winning team, runners-up and all participating athletes, and appreciated their commitment towards sports and healthy competition.
