Ganderbal, Sep 07: The bodies of a boy and a girl were recovered from a power canal in the Thune area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday, officials said.
An official said that the bodies were retrieved after hectic efforts by teams of the SHO Kangan, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) from Ganderbal and Gund
The duo had reportedly jumped into the hydropower canal earlier in the day, following which a search operation was launched by police and SDRF teams, with locals also joining the rescue efforts.
