Ladakh, Sep 11: Director General of Police (DGP) Ladakh, Anand Jain on Friday said the achievement of a Special Police Officer (SPO) in the Ladakh Marathon 2026 has send a strong message to the youth to remain physically fit and participate in positive activities.
Talking to reporters here, the DGP urged the youth to stay away from drugs and focus on sports, education and other constructive pursuits.
He said participation in sports and other positive activities would help the youth build their own future while also enabling them to contribute towards nation-building.
The DGP said the police department would provide cash awards to such achievers. He added that sportspersons also have an advantage under the four per cent quota in recruitment, subject to the category and applicable provisions—(KNO)
