POONCH, SEPTEMBER 19: District Development Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma, chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing road development works being executed in the district.
The DDC, as per an official statement, reviewed the physical progress of various road and related developmental works, particularly in remote and far-flung areas including Mandi, Mendhar, Surankote, Balakote and adjoining areas. The status of ongoing works, pending activities and issues affecting their timely completion were discussed in detail.
The DDC directed the concerned Assistant Commissioners Development and Block Development Officers to closely monitor the works in their respective areas and ensure that all ongoing road development works are completed at the earliest.
Emphasising the importance of connectivity in remote and snow-bound areas, the DDC stressed that the works should be expedited and completed before the onset of snowfall and winter, so that people living in far-flung areas do not face difficulties due to adverse weather conditions.
