SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 26: Social Welfare Department (SWD), SANKALP-HEW Srinagar, organized a vocational training programme at Srinagar women’s College Zakura Saturday, aimed at creating awareness among students about various avenues of skill development, vocational education and employment opportunities.
Resource person from District Employment and Counselling Centre, Srinagar participated in the programme and interacted with the students. They briefed the participants about various skill-development initiatives, career opportunities, entrepreneurship prospects and avenues available for pursuing self-employment.
The resource person encouraged the students to acquire practical skills alongside formal education and make informed choices regarding their future careers.
The programme concluded with an interactive session in which students actively participated and sought clarification on various career and skill-development opportunities.
The Department reiterated its commitment towards creating awareness among students and youth about skill development and livelihood opportunities, thereby facilitating their socio-economic empowerment.
