Srinagar, Sep 26: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday lauded the Armed Forces Medical Services for successfully conducting a mega eye surgical camp under Operation Drishti at Tangdhar in Karnah, where 220 people underwent eye surgeries.
In a post on X, LG Sinha said, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), “Restoring sight to 220 people in an underground operation theatre in a challenging border area is a remarkable achievement.”
He said the medical team, led by Brig. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, demonstrated the spirit of Operation Sadbhavana by taking advanced eye-care services to remote border areas.
“The dedication of the medical team, led by Brig. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, embodies the true spirit of Operation Sadbhavana,” the LG said.
He added, “Bringing advanced eye surgeries, including phacoemulsification, retinal and glaucoma procedures, to remote border hamlets ensures that no citizen is left behind.” (KNO)
