DODA, SEPTEMBER 28: Health Department Doda organised a series of awareness activities in all Medical Blocks during the World Rabies Week observed from September 22 to 28, 2026.
The week-long programme was conducted under the guidance of CMO Dr. Vinod Sharma and under the supervision of the respective Block Medical Officers (BMOs).
The awareness programmes and IEC activities were organised across all Medical Blocks to sensitise the public about rabies prevention, responsible pet ownership, the importance of timely wound management following animal bites and the need for prompt medical attention and post-exposure prophylaxis.
Healthcare staff actively participated in the programmes and disseminated key messages regarding rabies prevention and control, with special emphasis on seeking immediate medical care after an animal bite and completing the recommended vaccination schedule.
