Srinagar, Oct 05: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday prorogued the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, marking the conclusion of the current session.

A bulletin issued by the Assembly Secretariat on Monday said that the LG exercised powers under clause (a) of sub‑section (2) of Section 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, to prorogue the House.

“I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under clause (a) of sub‑section (2) of Section 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, do hereby prorogue the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly,” reads the order, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
