KATHUA, OCTOBER 16: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma Friday chaired a meeting with the Health Department functionaries to assess the progress of the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (ABHIM) in the district, with a special focus on the establishment of Block level Public Health Laboratories.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Vijay Raina briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the project, outlining its key components, objectives and proposed implementation, with emphasis on strengthening public health laboratory infrastructure at the block level.
The Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, stressed the need for close coordination among the concerned officials to resolve bottlenecks, wherever encountered and ensure timely implementation of the project as per prescribed guidelines. He directed the concerned officers to visit the sites identified for Block Public Health Laboratories and assess their suitability.
The representatives from HSCC India Ltd. were directed to personally visit Sub Division Bani along with a team from Health department and local administration to finalise the site and put up the fresh report by Friday next week.
The meeting was attended by CPO Ranjeet Thakur; Medical Superintendent AH GMC Dr Neeraj Nagpal, BMOs and other concerned officers of the Health Department.
