BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 31: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, Saturday visited District Hospital Bandipora to assess ongoing infrastructure development aimed at improving the convenience of patients, attendants and hospital staff.

During the visit, the DC reviewed the establishment of a prefabricated cafeteria at District Hospital Bandipora, being developed at an allotted cost of ₹18.32 lakh. The cafeteria is envisaged to operate round the clock (24×7), with the objective of providing hygienic and quality food to doctors, patients, attendants and other hospital staff.

The Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, stressed the importance of ensuring proper ventilation in the cafeteria and directed the concerned authorities to maintain a proper diet chart for children and post-caesarean women to facilitate access to appropriate and nutritious food.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need to ensure cleanliness, hygiene and proper management of facilities at the hospital, with a focus on providing a better experience for patients, attendants and healthcare professionals.

On the occasion, the DC directed the Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Bandipora, to install an LED display board in front of the hospital store to prominently display the availability of medicines and information regarding doctors, enabling patients and attendants to access relevant information conveniently.
