Budgam, May 22: An orientation programme for newly hired Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) members, Block Handholding Desk (BHD) staff, and Motivators under Mission YUVA was organised Friday by the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC), Budgam at the Conference Hall, Budgam.

The programme, as per an official statement, was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Vivek Agarwal, who interacted extensively with the participants and highlighted the importance of their role in the effective implementation of Mission YUVA at the grassroots level.

Addressing the gathering, the ADDC emphasised that Motivators and field functionaries are the backbone of Mission YUVA and play a pivotal role in identifying, guiding, and supporting unemployed youth towards sustainable livelihood and self-employment opportunities.

He urged the newly engaged staff to work with dedication, sincerity, and commitment to ensure that the objectives of the Mission are achieved in letter and spirit.

During the session, detailed presentations were delivered by the Career Counselling Officer and Employment Officer, DE&CC Budgam, focusing on the operational guidelines of Mission YUVA, implementation mechanisms, field-level coordination, beneficiary identification, counselling procedures, and monitoring frameworks.

The officials also provided a comprehensive demonstration of the Mission YUVA portal, explaining various features related to registration, data management, beneficiary tracking, reporting mechanisms, and online service delivery. Participants were sensitised about the importance of timely data entry, effective outreach, and maintaining close coordination with stakeholders for smooth execution of the programme.

The orientation programme witnessed active participation from the newly recruited SBDU staff, BHD officials, and Motivators from different blocks of the district.

The participants actively engaged in discussions and sought clarifications on various operational aspects of the Mission.
