DC Budgam inspects progress of 125-bedded new district Hospital, 100-bedded CCU

BUDGAM, DECEMBER 13: Deputy Commissioner(DC) Budgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat Saturday conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing works of the 125-bedded New District Hospital and the 100-bedded Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Reshipora, Budgam, to assess the pace and quality of construction.

During the inspection, the DC, as per an official statement was apprised that substantial progress has been achieved on the 125-bedded hospital project. Structural works up to the fourth floor including columns and slabs stand completed, while mumpty level column and beam work has also been completed. Brickwork upto third floors has been completed, and AAC block masonry up to the third floor is complete, with work on the fourth floor is currently in progress.

The DC was apprised that the structural steel truss work has been completed up to approximately 90 percent, while plumbing works are presently underway. The progress on 100-bedded critical care unit is also progressing speedily.

The DC stressed the need for maintaining momentum and directed the executing agencies to further expedite the remaining works, while strictly adhering to prescribed quality standards and timelines. He emphasized that timely completion of these projects is vital for strengthening healthcare delivery in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that these projects are aimed at significantly augmenting the district’s healthcare infrastructure and reflect the Government’s firm commitment to providing accessible and quality medical services to the people of Budgam. He added that the district administration is working in a focused and coordinated manner to ensure that this prestigious project is completed at the earliest for its timely dedication to the public.

The DC was accompanied was by SE R&B circle Budgam, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, MS budgam ,Executive Engineer R&B Budgam, Assistant Executive Engineers and other concerned officers, who briefed the DC on the current status and future milestones of the works.
