DC Budgam reviews Pending Land Acquisition, PNC cases

BUDGAM, DECEMBER 13: A review meeting regarding the disposal of pending Land Acquisition cases and matters placed before the Private Negotiation Committee (PNC) was held Saturday under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat.

 The meeting, as per an official statement was convened to review land acquisition cases pertaining to Collector Land Acquisition Budgam and Chadoora, related to PMGSY and R&B sector road projects. All cases were examined in detail and approved as placed, covering a total of 131 land owners, including 41 land owners in Budgam, 30 land owners in Chadoora under PMGSY, and 60 cases under R&B.

During the meeting, the DC observed that timely disposal of land acquisition and PNC cases is critical for accelerating infrastructure development and for ensuring that land owners receive their legitimate compensation without delay.

He emphasized that all proceedings must be conducted in a transparent, fair and lawful manner, strictly adhering to statutory provisions.

The DC  further stressed the need for effective coordination among revenue authorities and executing agencies to ensure that procedural delays are minimized and developmental works are completed within stipulated timelines. Directions were also issued for prompt release of compensation and regular monitoring of approved cases.

The DC instructed concerned officers for submission of periodic progress reports and ensuring that no approved land acquisition case remains pending at any stage.

Besides, ADC Budgam , ACR Budgam, SE PMGSY  Circle Budgam , Tehsildar Budgam, Tehsildar Chadoora, and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
