LG Sinha pays tribute to J&K Police martyrs

Jammu, Dec 16: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage to J&K Police Braveheart Ct. Amjid Ali Khan, who laid down his life in the service of the nation during an anti-terror operation in Udhampur.

“I salute the supreme sacrifice of our J&K Police Braveheart Ct. Amjid Ali Khan. The nation shall remain forever grateful to his exemplary valour and selfless devotion to duty. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved family of our martyr in this difficult hour,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

Meanwhile, LG Manoj Sinha has expressed grief over the passing away of Havildar Zubair Ahmad of the 13 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI), who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Havildar Zubair Ahmad succumbed to injuries sustained during a road construction blast on December 15 at Putaha Khan Gali in the Trehgam area of Kupwara district.

“The nation is forever indebted to the selfless service and supreme sacrifice of Havildar Zubair Ahmad. He served with exemplary courage and commitment towards the nation. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of grief,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
