Srinagar, May 20: A month-long stitching and tailoring programme for 15 women concluded at Marriage Hall, Abi-Guzar, near Masjid Ayesha, Lal Chowk, with certificates of completion distributed to the trainees.
The programme was organized under the Civic Action Programme 2025-26 by 132 Battalion of CRPF under the aegis of IG, CRPF, Srinagar Sector, aimed at promoting skill development and self-reliance among women.
Commandant of 132 Battalion, officers and personnel of the battalion, SP East, SDPO Kothibagh, police officials from PS Kothibagh and Maisuma, media personnel, and members of the local community attended the ceremony.
Three sewing machines were also handed over to the community hall to enable other women to utilize them for training and undertake stitching work for livelihood, officials said.
