GANDERBAL, JUNE 11: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, Thursday chaired a review meeting to review the Comprehensive Implementation and Reforms Plan (CIRP) and progress under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G) in the district.

During the meeting, the Executive Engineer PHE informed that the district has successfully completed JJM 1.0, under which Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) were provided to rural households. It was further informed that JJM 2.0 is focused on completion of ongoing and approved water supply schemes to strengthen rural drinking water infrastructure.

Reviewing the status of schemes under JJM, the DC, as per an official statement, was informed that out of 10 identified schemes, five have been completed while work on the remaining schemes is progressing at an advanced stage.

The meeting was also apprised that under the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ initiative, 118 out of 129 selected villages have been certified. Further, all 120 eligible Gram Panchayats in the district have achieved certification under the Jal Seva Aankalan assessment.
