KULGAM, JUNE 16: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam Tuesday visited Village Zaipora in Tehsil Devsar to oversee the public reading of the latest digitized Jamabandi and reviewed the progress of revenue-related matters in the area.
The Deputy Commissioner also assessed the pilot implementation of the AgriStack Farmer Registry being undertaken in the village.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various revenue records and interacted with revenue officials to assess the status of record maintenance, digitization, and verification. Stressing the need for accuracy, transparency, and timely updation of land records, he directed officials to ensure error-free records for the benefit of the general public.
He directed the concerned officers to address genuine public grievances in a time-bound manner and ensure efficient delivery of revenue services.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of the AgriStack module being implemented on a pilot basis in Village Zaipora for the creation of the Farmer Registry, describing it as a transformative initiative being rolled out across the country to strengthen agricultural governance and farmer-centric services.
Senior officers of the Revenue Department, including the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kulgam, Tehsildar Devsar, and other field functionaries, accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
