PULWAMA, JUNE 17: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom Wednesday chaired a comprehensive meeting at the Circuit House Pulwama to review the arrangements for the forthcoming NEET (UG) Examination.
At the outset, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, briefed the chair on the overall preparedness, including identification of examination centres, deployment of staff, implementation of SOPs, transportation plans, videography arrangements, security arrangements, and other logistical requirements.
The DC also sought detailed inputs from Centre Superintendents regarding preparedness at their respective centres, including adherence to prescribed SOPs and arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of the examination.
The DC directed all concerned Centre Superintendents to ensure foolproof arrangements for the smooth and fair conduct of the examination. He stressed the importance of maintaining strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and ensuring proper coordination among all stakeholders.
Emphasizing the sensitivity of the examination, the DC directed for adequate deployment of magistrates and security personnel at all examination centres. Dr. Qayoom further instructed the concerned departments to facilitate seamless transportation, ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, and provide all essential services on the day of the examination.
Highlighting the need for effective inter-departmental coordination, the Deputy Commissioner called for a collaborative approach to create a conducive environment for the candidates.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama, Centre Superintendents of all designated centres, City Coordinator/Nodal Officer NTA (District Pulwama), and officers from Police and Civil Administration.
