SRINAGAR, JUNE 23: Director, Animal Husbandry Department (AHD), Kashmir, Dr. Rakesh Kaul kickstarted 8th round of vaccination from the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Kashmir.
The drive was kickstarted in the presence of departmental officers, officials, Doctors and paravets, with an aim to eradicate the Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) by 2030. Under the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), free vaccination of all eligible livestock is carried out against the FMD at the door steps of livestock owners.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director emphasized the importance of timely vaccination and requested livestock owners to cooperate fully with the field staff of the department and ensure that all eligible livestock population is covered during the vaccination campaign.
