Holds candlelight march in Chadoora

Budgam, Jul 24: The BJP Minority Morcha on Friday evening organised a protest and candlelight march in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district to pay tribute to martyred Head Constable Ashiq Hussain, who was killed in the recent terror attack in Anantnag.

The programme was led by Bhat Imtiyaz, General Secretary of BJP Minority Morcha, Jammu and Kashmir, and was attended by party workers and local residents, who condemned the terror attack and offered prayers for the departed soul.

Speaking to media, Bhat Imtiyaz said the supreme sacrifice of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain would always be remembered and that the nation stands with his family.

He strongly condemned the terror attack, saying such acts would not weaken the resolve of the country. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and asserted that anyone attempting to disturb peace or indulge in terrorist activities would face a strong and befitting response.

“The sacrifice of our brave personnel will never go in vain. Those who dare to carry out such cowardly acts will be taught a tough lesson,” he said.

Participants lit candles and observed a moment of silence in memory of the slain policeman, while reiterating their commitment to peace and condemning terrorism in all its forms—(KNO)
