UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 26: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa Saturday chaired a review meeting with officers of the Health Department to assess the progress achieved under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the district.
At the outset, District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Anil Saloch delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the district’s performance under the campaign, including the current status of TB detection, screening coverage, treatment outcomes and other key performance indicators.
The DC reviewed the progress of TB testing and treatment success rates. He directed the Health Department to further expand testing facilities, strengthen diagnostic services and ensure the timely identification and treatment of TB patients.
Emphasizing the importance of early detection and timely intervention, the DC called for strengthening counselling services and ensuring the active involvement of frontline health workers in identifying suspected cases, facilitating testing and ensuring uninterrupted treatment for diagnosed patients.
