SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 06: In a major push toward advancing digital governance in the agriculture sector, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, Tuesday presided over a high-level review meeting at the Mini-Secretariat Shopian.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Lone, as per an official statement, emphasized the critical need for speed, precision, coordination and seamless collaboration among the Agriculture and Horticulture and Revenue Departments alongside CSC VLEs for the successful rollout of AgriStack across Shopian.
the ADDC stressed achieving 100% coverage, absolute entry accuracy and strict adherence to established project timelines. Field officers and CSC Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) were directed to maintain close coordination to promptly fix technical glitches and guarantee full coverage for all eligible farmers.
The meeting focused on the implementation of AgriStack, the creation of Farmer IDs and the execution of the Digital Crop Survey (DCS) Kharif-2026.
The meeting focused on resolving field-level bottlenecks and streamlining inter-departmental operations and detailed analysis was conducted on the progress of Farmer ID creation, with instructions to clear unclaimed buckets, resolve land-record fetching issues and rectify technical field discrepancies.
The meeting was attended by District Mentor for Farmer IDs, Najma, IAS, Probationer; ADC Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, Shakoor Ahmed Dar; SDM, Zainapora, Bilal Ahmed, Tehsildars, district officers and other concerned.
