BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 06: In view of recent drowning incidents and as part of the ongoing awareness drive initiated by the District Administration Bandipora, the Administration Tuesday conducted a comprehensive demonstration and awareness programme at Government High School, Bonakoot.
The programme aimed to sensitise students, youth and the local community about drowning prevention, water safety measures and life-saving techniques to be adopted during water-related emergencies.
During the session, SDRF personnel, as per an official statement, demonstrated practical rescue techniques, safe approaches during water emergencies and essential first-aid measures, besides sensitising participants about precautions to be taken during flash floods and while near fast-flowing water bodies.
